Last Updated: June 19, 2026

Turtelle Insurance Inc. ("Turtelle," "we," "us," or "our") values your trust and is deeply committed to protecting the privacy, accuracy, and security of your personal and financial information. This Privacy Policy outlines exactly how we collect, use, process, store, and share your personal details when you visit turtelle.com or utilize our Family Protection Check(TM) tool, lead portals, employer intake paths, or conversational AI chatbot interfaces.

1. Information We Collect

We collect distinct categories of personal and financial data depending on your specific user classification: From Consumers: contact and basic identifiers (first name, last name, email address, phone number, state of residence, ZIP code); household and familial data (age, marital status, number of dependent children, homeownership status); financial liabilities and assets (mortgage balances, annual gross income, desired years of family income replacement); and existing insurance records (employer-provided group life coverage, voluntary coverage, personally owned individual coverage, portability flags). From Insurance Agents: full legal name, business email address, phone number, independent agency name, National Producer Number (NPN), verified state insurance producer licenses, active lines of authority, and designated local service ZIP codes. From Employers: legal company name, business contact details, organizational size, state of incorporation, active employee benefit parameters, group insurance requests, and structural employee census files (including salary structures, ages, and job classifications). Automated Analytical Data: IP addresses, IP-based geolocation metrics, device identifiers, browser types, page clickstreams, navigation paths, duration of visits, and referring URL trails.

2. Information Use

Turtelle processes and uses the data collected to fulfill operational, commercial, and educational mandates, specifically: to calculate and generate your automated Protection Score(TM), Protection Gap(TM), and associated metrics; to build, compile, and deliver your customized downloadable Protection Report(TM) PDF file; to process, organize, and evaluate uploaded policy documents within our Policy X-Ray(TM) portal; to verify credentials, track licenses, and maintain CRM pipeline paths for independent agents; to analyze employee census records to prepare aggregate group insurance quote files for employer portals; to train, test, and tune conversational responses within our educational AI chatbot; and to protect platform architecture from cyber threat vectors, data manipulation, scraping, and fraudulent inquiries.

3. Cookies, Analytics, & Geolocation Tracking

Turtelle utilizes tracking cookies, pixel tags, web beacons, and embedded analytics scripts to optimize your online experience. We deploy essential cookies to maintain state information across our multi-step intake process and keep portal dashboards active. We deploy non-essential analytical cookies to evaluate site navigation trends. You may configure your browser to reject cookies, but doing so may disrupt user flows and calculation processes. Our systems also read your inbound IP address to dynamically apply localized rules, determine state-level insurance availability, and confirm compliance with state licensing requirements.

4. Marketing Communications & Compliance Consent

Turtelle may distribute educational emails, corporate newsletters, product updates, insurance-related learning materials, or promotional communications. We also execute outbound SMS messages and phone call follow-ups to connect users with independent marketplaces. We strictly isolate transactional data tracking from promotional outreach. Required Service Consent: "By clicking 'Generate My Score,' I agree to the Turtelle Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, and I grant my affirmative consent for Turtelle to process my data to compile my Protection Report(TM) and deliver transactional account updates to my email address." Optional Email Marketing Consent (voluntary): consent to receive educational newsletters, product updates, and promotional insurance communications via email from Turtelle. Optional SMS & Phone Marketing Consent (voluntary, TCPA): explicit Prior Express Written Consent (PEWC) to receive educational follow-ups, automated text messages, and promotional phone calls delivered via automated telephone dialing systems from Turtelle and its licensed independent insurance agent partners at the mobile number provided. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying "STOP" or using provided opt-out controls.

5. Data Sharing & Lead-Generation Disclosures

Turtelle does not sell, lease, rent, or trade your personal financial details to speculative third-party data brokers or unrelated consumer products platforms. Your information is shared solely to execute core distribution services: Agent Matching Actions: when a consumer selects "Talk to a Local Agent," "Request Agent Assistance," or any equivalent matching button, you explicitly authorize and instruct Turtelle to securely share your contact parameters, Protection Score(TM), Protection Gap(TM), Employer Dependency Risk(TM), Protection Report(TM), and all compiled intake data with a qualified, independent licensed insurance professional within our network. Carrier Quoting Interactions: for employer group requests or consumer quote comparisons, data is securely passed to licensed insurance carriers and Independent Marketing Organizations (such as BackNine) to generate binding rate structures. Service Providers: data is shared with specialized technology service providers including cloud server hosting infrastructures, database nodes, email servers, and text automation APIs operating under strict, binding contractual confidentiality agreements. Legal Compliance: we will disclose information if mandated to do so by a valid legal subpoena, federal or state court order, or formal compliance audit conducted by state insurance commissioners.

6. Conversational AI Chatbot Interactions

Turtelle runs an automated AI chatbot interface to support 24/7 general insurance education lookups. When you type statements, inputs, or questions into the chat terminal, you are interacting directly with an AI system, not a live human professional. All conversations, data inputs, and text prompts typed into the chatbot are securely logged, reviewed, and analyzed by Turtelle to improve response accuracy, audit safety filters, and identify human agent transfer requests. Users are instructed to refrain from pasting ultra-sensitive personal metrics (such as Social Security Numbers, tax IDs, or detailed individual medical records) into the text prompt box until they are formally routed to a live human professional.

7. Data Security & Technical Safeguards

Turtelle implements institutional-grade technical, administrative, and physical data security measures to protect your financial, agent, or employer parameters. All inbound and outbound data flows are shielded using Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption tunnels. API endpoints use strict authentication token gates, and data storage databases are protected behind secure network firewalls. However, no digital transmission channel or storage architecture is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute, ironclad protection against advanced malicious actors.

8. Data Retention Periods

Turtelle retains personal and corporate information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill platform calculation actions, deliver ongoing services, satisfy mandatory legal and tax regulations, maintain robust corporate business logs, resolve active marketplace disputes, enforce our Terms, and fully comply with state insurance department recordkeeping requirements. Upon the expiration of legal or operational retention timelines, records are securely scrubbed, encrypted, or anonymized.

9. User Rights & Data Governance Controls

Regardless of your state of residence, Turtelle provides user governance controls to maintain data accuracy. You may exercise the following rights by contacting compliance@turtelle.com: Access Rights (the right to receive a copy of all personal categories Turtelle holds regarding your user profile); Correction Rights (the right to modify, amend, or update inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete identifiers); Deletion Rights (the right to request that Turtelle securely purge your personal records from our active cloud storage nodes).

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA Compliance)

This section applies explicitly to residents of the State of California under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Categories Collected: we collect Identifiers, Financial Information, Commercial Information, and Geolocation data as detailed in Section 1. No Commercial Data Selling: Turtelle does not "sell" your personal financial information to third parties for cash consideration. Data transfers to agent partners occur only via your explicit direction. Right to Opt-Out of Sharing/Targeting: you have the right to restrict the use of your data for cross-context behavioral advertising. Right to Limit Sensitive Data: you have the right to limit our processing of sensitive personal information to the baseline operations required to generate your score. Non-Discrimination Assurance: exercising your CPRA rights will never result in downgraded platform experiences, pricing alterations, or calculation limits.

11. Children's Privacy Safeguards

The Turtelle platform, independent portals, census upload workflows, and conversational AI interfaces are strictly designed and intended for adult consumers, licensed financial business professionals, and corporate employers. We do not knowingly target, track, or maintain personal profiles from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 within relevant regional scopes). If we discover a minor has bypassed entry validation and provided personal information, it will be immediately purged from our active storage arrays upon notification.

12. Contact Information

For any privacy audits, data deletion requests, or CCPA/CPRA rights exercises, please coordinate directly with our compliance office: Turtelle Insurance Inc. | Email: compliance@turtelle.com | Physical corporate mailing address available upon digital request.
