Licensing & Disclosures
Last Updated: June 19, 2026
This Licensing and Disclosures document provides transparent, consumer-centric regulatory context regarding the operational boundaries, business partnerships, compensation systems, and geographic status of Turtelle Insurance Inc. ("Turtelle").
1. Turtelle Corporate Operational Classification
Turtelle is a technology company and digital distribution platform assistant operating as a Delaware C-Corporation. TURTELLE IS NOT AN INSURANCE CARRIER. Turtelle does not issue insurance policies, act as a structural underwriter, assess medical risk profiles, manage premium reserve funds, or possess corporate binding authority to place life insurance or health benefits. All risk coverage products accessed or evaluated through the platform are issued, underwritten, and managed solely by independent, third-party insurance carriers.
2. State-by-State Availability Limitations
Turtelle is an online destination accessible across the United States; however, insurance carrier availability, policy forms, rider options, premium structures, and employer group frameworks vary significantly based on state department insurance codes and regulatory guidelines. Not all insurance lines, carriers, or portal tools are available to residents, agents, or employers in every state jurisdiction. Content displayed on turtelle.com does not imply that an insurance product is available to you or that any specific carrier is authorized to conduct business in your state.
3. Educational-Only Platform Content Disclaimers
All software materials, calculators, articles, automated evaluations, and responses generated by our conversational AI chatbot are intended strictly for general educational and illustrative purposes. They do not constitute formal legal counsel, personal financial planning, tax structuring, or localized investment advice. Users must evaluate all outputs independently and consult with licensed human professionals before executing any financial contracts.
4. Agent Licensing Footprint Disclosures
Turtelle is not a fully licensed insurance agency in every US state or jurisdiction. Where Turtelle does not hold active corporate entity licensing from the state insurance commissioner, its platform content is strictly limited to general educational information regarding life insurance concepts. In such restricted jurisdictions, the platform does not solicit insurance, take direct premium payments, generate binding insurance applications, or coordinate local agent referrals. As Turtelle acquires additional corporate licenses, this document will be updated to include our active state-by-state license credentials.
5. Strategic BackNine Relationship Disclosure
To facilitate digital distribution, automated insurance comparisons, and seamless quoting connectivity, Turtelle works in partnership with licensed independent insurance entities, agencies, and licensed Independent Marketing Organizations (IMOs), including BackNine (BackNine Insurance & Medical Certification Inc.). Through this API and software integration, Turtelle provides users with digital pipelines to view and interface with over thirty (30+) national, top-rated insurance carriers. All quote values, application portals, and underwriting processing streams are driven by licensed agents and entities affiliated with these designated IMO pathways.
6. Referral Compensation & Lead Monetization Clarity
Turtelle operates as a commercial entity. Users are explicitly disclosed that Turtelle receives lead fees, marketing allowances, referral fees, software subscription fees, and/or direct insurance commissions from independent insurance agents, agencies, insurance brokers, independent marketing organizations (IMOs), and carrier entities. This compensation is paid to Turtelle in exchange for data processing, marketplace lead transmission, advertisement placement, and software tooling access. The payment of compensation to Turtelle does not bias or guarantee that any single insurance policy, carrier option, or corporate benefit solution is automatically suitable or optimal for your individual financial profile.
7. Product Availability & Carrier Approval Disclaimer
Final insurance contract binding, policy issuance, riders, and actual premium rates are completely dependent on full carrier approval. Carriers evaluate applications based on holistic underwriting protocols including medical records, prescription databases, motor vehicle summaries, and verification of assets. Turtelle has no control over carrier underwriting decisions, rate re-classifications, table ratings, or coverage denials.
